"A Place of Peace, Purpose, and Belonging"

Meet Luke and Melissa Haynes

Located in beautiful Christiansburg, Virginia, Luke and Melissa Haynes are a devoted and compassionate couple who have built their lives around care, connection, and community. Their home is grounded in love, joy, and peace, and they are excited to extend that same warmth and support to others. Luke currently works as a mobile crisis counselor and brings with him four years of experience in the mental health field. His background includes work in a crisis therapy home and as a mental health skill-building clinician.

Luke holds a degree in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and his passion for helping others is evident in everything he does. He has also served as both an associate pastor and youth pastor, offering spiritual guidance and emotional support to many. Luke is CPR and First Aid certified and volunteered for the local rescue squad for over a decade, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to serving others.

Melissa, Luke’s wife, is a nurse with 23 years of experience. Like Luke, she is CPR and First Aid certified, and her nurturing presence brings another layer of comfort and security to their home. Together, Luke and Melissa are involved with the Special Olympics, a cause that is close to their hearts.

Luke has long dreamed of opening a sponsored residential home—a dream that is now becoming a reality. He plans to leave his current role to fully dedicate his time and energy to building a home where empathy, respect, and love are at the core of daily life.

A New Home, A New Beginning

The Haynes Home is a brand-new residence thoughtfully located just 9 minutes from Lewis-Gale Hospital, and only 1 mile from the fire department and rescue squad. Conveniently positioned between downtown and Uptown Christiansburg, the home provides easy access to the many local amenities and community activities the area has to offer.

Nearby, there are town festivals and parades throughout the year, as well as the public library, aquatic center, recreation center, bowling alleys, several parks, and the mall. Whether you enjoy quiet days or vibrant community outings, there is always something to explore and enjoy in Christiansburg.
